I%26#39;ve read so many posts on great dinner places, I was wondering if you can suggest something different and equally amazing for lunch. We%26#39;ll be staying at the Millenium and I know about Quincy Market but we plan on walking the city so anywhere is possible. Thanks for all your help. These posts are terrfic.

I think Parish Cafe on Boylston is a great spot for lunch. It%26#39;s a gourmet sandwich place where the menu is made up of creations by the executive chefs of many of the fine restaurants in Boston and its suburbs. Last time I was there, I had an unbelievable tuna wasabi sandwich from Blue Ginger in Wellesley that makes my mouth water thinking about it. It also has salads and an enormous beer list with so many things you%26#39;ll never even have heard of at a price that makes them easy to sample. It has a very casual, but trendy atmosphere.

I also understand that Finale on the edge of the theatre district has lunchy food now. Finale is known for its worldclass desserts, but I bet it would be great for lunch too - just beware that it can be very crowded!

If you take a walk from the Millenium past Quincy Market Rotunda area look for Bertucci%26#39;s, they have excellent luncheon specials. As you%26#39;re leaving there cross over from Milk St. to Broad St. and look for Tiernan%26#39;s Irish Pub and Restaurant. It%26#39;s VERY good, try it at least once while you%26#39;re in Boston, it%26#39;s located at 99 Broad St. we used to go there all the time for lunch in the Financial District! It gets crowded during the week at lunchtime but just plan it accordingly. Any time you see ';Souper Salad'; places try one of them! They%26#39;re excellent. They%26#39;ve been in Boston since 1976 but they%26#39;re consistant and you%26#39;d really like there soups/wraps/salads a lot! They%26#39;re all over the City now. The one we used to go to is at 126 High St., not too far around the corner from Tiernan%26#39;s on Broad St. They have salads and wraps that are unbelievable. Everything is fresh and the line is always long at lunch time but one thing about them, they%26#39;re FAST, which is really good! They have seating as well, they have the tables all set up, it gets crowded but you can always get a table because people usually get it ';to go';

They%26#39;re located at 126 High St., 209 Berkely St., 75 Federal St., 102 Water St., 3 Center Plaza. The Beth Israel Hospital even has one now it%26#39;s at 370 Brookline Ave. They%26#39;re even in Braintee and Burlington now.

Look for Il Panino%26#39;s Bistro on Franklin St., just a short walk from Tiernan%26#39;s. There%26#39;s one in the North End too. They%26#39;re excellent for lunch.

I completely forgot they have lunch there. Take a look at the menu online! I went there this past weekend for dinner, it%26#39;s INCREDIBLE. Put it on your list before the others I gave you, that%26#39;s how good it is! It%26#39;s up near the Omni/Parker House t 21 Beacon St., you%26#39;ll see it when you%26#39;re walking around that area! It%26#39;s positively wonderful there. It%26#39;s fairly new, but it%26#39;s a ';hot'; one....check it out!

Sultan%26#39;s Kitchen: Awesome Turkish food right near Quincy Market on State Street. It%26#39;s very popular with the business workers in the area so the line can be out the door at peak times so try to go a little early or a little late. If you want something cheaper, try Al%26#39;s right next door (there will also be a line out the door if you go at 12:15).

Pressed: Very good panini on Oliver street, also near Quincy Market. They also have good salads.

Pita Kabob: For something really out of the ordinary if the weather is nice, do take out from Pita Kabob on Province Street (take a left off of School Street at the Starbucks and just past the Border%26#39;s). It is a hole in the wall place, but it%26#39;s kind of a cult favorite with food made to order. There%26#39;s nowhere to eat there, but it%26#39;s steps from the common for a great picnic lunch.

Check out Parkers Restaurant at the Omni Parker House Hotel. They are celebrating their150th Anniversary Year and they are 3 blocks from where you are staying.

They invented Boston Creme Pie,Parker House Roll,Scrod and even Emeril Lagasse got his start there. The place is a true BOston Landmark and America%26#39;s Longest Operating Luxury Hotel. www.omniparkerhouse.com
