Wedding Anniversary trip on an early November weekend- any...

We%26#39;re thinking about doing some sightseeing here on a weekend trip and would appreciate any advice. We%26#39;d like to stay in an economical hotel or B%26amp;B in a safe area.

Also, we may splurge a little on a restaurant...any ideas for good places to go on a wedding anniversary night?

Thanks!

Hello PearlandI,

There are so many hotels %26amp; B%26amp;B%26#39;s to choose from if you stay in Boston. They have a great site for B%26amp;B%26#39;s that you could look through.

I see that a lot of the posters highly recommend this one if you want to check it out! It looks VERY reasonable to me and if you could get a room here? (I copied it below for you) I%26#39;d definately try to, if I were you. It%26#39;s in a fantastic location for sightseeing and to check out the various restaurants in Boston. I happen to have one that is very romantic and a fantastic one for an anniversary if you want to check out the site it%26#39;s www.rialto-restaurant.com RIALTO%26#39;s at the Charles Hotel. You can look through the site to check it out to decide. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll get different opinions on where to have dinner for this very special occasion you%26#39;re planning! You could take your pick in this City because there are so many places? Your head would spin!

The name of the B%26amp;B is the John Jeffries House, here%26#39;s the site for it here. Now remember, there are hundreds of other B%26amp;B%26#39;s, as well as hundreds of hotels; but I%26#39;m telling you there%26#39;s something about this one that stands right out. It really really looks quite reasonable and very nice for the money and believe me when I say this; it%26#39;s in an extremely safe area, you can count on it when I say this.

For economical hotels and B%26amp;B%26#39;s, you might want to try the Oasis Guest House in the Fenway neighborhood, or the 453 Beacon St. Guesthouse in the Back Bay. Both are in great neighborhoods for sightseeing and both are less expensive than the big chain hotels.

As for romantic dinners, you could try L%26#39;Espalier, which is a great restaurant and a romantic setting in the Back Bay, I believe it%26#39;s on Gloucester St.

Another nice romantic idea is Top of The Hub restaurant, on the 50th floor of the Prudential tower. Beautiful views of the city, a dance floor for slow dancing, and good food (although probably not the best quality the city has to offer, but good nonetheless)

Morrison House in Somerville ( Davis T stop ) Red Line is quiet, quaint, and economical. We paid $110/night last week.

75 Chestnut in Beacon Hill was fantastic food and atmosphere. Dinner for two and wine was about $150.

By a 3 day visitors pass for the T (subway) so that you save money and time.

Plan activities ahead as you can get overwhelmed with all the choices.
