We are flying into Providence and renting a car before driving to Chatham on the 9th. We%26#39;re staying at the Hawthorne and will be there until we leave on the 13th. We would love suggestions on good seafood restaurants for dinner, neat places to eat lunch, definite places and things we need to see, etc. We also want to go to Martha%26#39;s Vineyard and on a whale watch tour (do we need to schedule the tour before we leave Nashville?). We will have 3 full days to fit all this in so any help would be greatly appreciated. This is an awesome board, and I have gone back and read the posts from the past. We decided to stay in Chatham at the Hawthorne as a result of those posts. Kim Grant%26#39;s book on Cape Cod was also purchased as a result of reading previous post so we have tried our best to get ready! We want to see and do as much as we can and can%26#39;t wait to get there. It looks absolutely gorgeous!!! Thanks in advance for all the help and suggestions you can give us!

I would suggest that after getting acclimated, take a drive along Rte 6A through the little villages on the ';bay side';. Though there are no particular places I have in mind, the whole experience is beautiful... even more so if you%26#39;re into antiques.
Also, a trip to Cape Cod would be incomplete without at least half a day in Provincetown... the road between Chatham and Provincetown (the last 23 miles of Rte 6) narrows down from the highway it is approaching Chatham, and provides some relief (albeit commercial) from the monotony of the highway after the bridge.
If you get to P-Town, my favorite restaurants are Martin House (upscale/dinner), Bubula%26#39;s (Casual/lunch) %26amp; Lobster Pot (mid-range/lunch OR dinner). They%26#39;re all on Commercial St... the main street.

We like The Impudent Oyster for lunch in Chatham.
