Does anyone know the name of the bar in faneuil hall that is located underground and is/might be the easterm-most (i.e. the end farthest from Govt Center) underground bar/restaurant? As you go down the stairs and enter the tavern from the North, the bar is to the left. Behind the bar (by the cieling) there are 3 paintings showing scenes of Boston as it might have looked centuries ago. Those painting are really what I want to know about (who did them - I didn%26#39;t see a signature), I figured the name of the bar might be a good start.
Thanks!
Bar name?Could it be the Trinity Brewhouse? It%26#39;s right next door to the Hong Kong.
If not, give us some more clues....what was is like inside, did they serve food, what was it near...
Bar name?I guess the place I%26#39;m thinking of is called Trinity Nightclub.
Ames Plow Tavern?
The only other %26#39;clues%26#39; I could think of is that it was not a very wide bar; kinda long and narrow. Also, there was something that I thought was odd (but appealing)....there was a clear, glass, hexagonal container that looked like it could have held 3-5 gallons. It had 2 pealed pineapples sitting in a clear liquid (vodka? gin?) and there was a spout to dispence it.
Thanks for the leads thus far. I can start looking into those places mentioned.
The drink you%26#39;re referring to is a Stoli Doli - Pineapple infused Stoli vodka. I was not aware that any bar in Faneuil Hall had that. If you find out which bar it is, please post it here, very few places have that drink, and I%26#39;d love to go get some!
