I am bringing my daughter to Boston in about a week. She really wants to go ice skating and I%26#39;m not sure where to go.
We are staying at the Radisson Hotel Boston and would love to find a nice rink in a nice area that is not too far. Did some looking and came up with possibly Steriti Memorial Ice skating Rink on commercial st. near north end. It seems to be close to Puopolo Park but I could not find a phone # or a specific web site to check publi skating times and what not. If anyone knows about this place or another one that might work please let me know. Would greatly appreciate it.
Also, are the swan boats really not running in Oct. Heard they were really fun for kids and parents alike.

The only thing you can do is call the Department of Recreation to see when they open. Try calling 617 626-1250 or better yet the Nazarro Community Center staff might still be in the building try calling 617 635-5166 and may be they can tell you when the Rink starts.
The Swan Boats left (closed) September 18th, that%26#39;s too bad, your daughter would have LOVED them! May be next time?

The ';MDC'; (Metropolitan District Commission), a government agent, runs a bunch of public rinks in the area, but I doubt they%26#39;re open in October -- most are (covered) open-air.... and it%26#39;s not freezing here...yet.
The ';Skating Club of Boston'; is the definitive skating center in town -- a private club where serious skaters train year-round, but which has/has public hours at one point. They would know.
Thanks alot I will try these #%26#39;s and see what I can find out.
