Just booked the marriott in Burlington for June-July 2006 and was wondering if this is a safe/nice area. Also, is it a long way to drive to Boston? Thank You!
Is Burlington a safe place to stay?
I lived right down the street in Woburn from the Burlington Marriott for 7 years. It is right off Rt. 128 (95) on Burlington Mall Road. This is a four lane mostly divided roadway lined with office parks and professional building plazas. Lahey Clinic Hospital is just down the street, as is a Knowledge Beginnings daycare center, where my daughter went for two years. And the Burlington Mall and other shopping plazas are at the end of the road about a mile from the Marriott. I would say that this is a very safe area. With the hospital and the mall along this road , there is a constant flow of vehicle traffic well into the evening. Except for a couple of side streets around the daycare center, the road is devoid of residential homes, and there is no convenience stores or pizza joints or places of the such where hoodlums might congregate.

ohyeah, this is about a 15-20 minute ride into Boston. Hop on 128 (95) north right around the corner, then rt 93 south.
Thank you for your posts!
yes, Burlington is safeand clean, but is mostly a business park and mall location near the Marriott. A 20 to 30 minute drive to Boston depending on traffic.
forgot to account for highway traffic.....outside of any morning/afternoon rush hour delays, or other untimely lane closing delays and the such, you%26#39;ll make Boston within 20 minutes.
