Rode The Storm Out

We just got back Sat. 29th from our first visit to the Cape and it was great Nor%26#39;easter

and all. We even drove thru some snow on the way out just over the Sagamore bridge Sat. I do wish they had more things to do with little kids when it rains on the mid to outer cape area. We got to see the Widah museum and the ZooAquarium though. The food truly was Wicked Good especially the Chowdah! Thanks to all who advised me on this forum. I didn%26#39;t get to see Arnold visiting the Kennedy Compund at all but...

I%26#39;ll be back!

We%26#39;re off up there this weekend - where%26#39;d you find the wicked good food?

Rode The Storm Out

Too funny!!! Sounds like a memorable time! Where did you find that wicked good chowdah?!?!?

I know when we plan to escape in February for a weekend....lots of families hog the hotels with the indoor pools....that keeps the kids occupied. There%26#39;s really not much else to do with kids on the Cape indoors.

In regards to the question about the good food, We found the food at Captain Parker%26#39;s Pub in West Yarmouth to be Wicked Good. It%26#39;s right in front of the Zooquarium which the kids will love- try it! The Hearth and Kettle was also pretty good for a chain restaurant. The Bookstore and Restaurant at the Wellfleet harbor was also very good. The Scallops were so sweet and fresh I can still imagine tasting them now!

Enjoy- I wish I was there again!

Thanks very much! Capt. Parkers is definitely on our roster, as is the zooquarium! I%26#39;ll report upon our return.

You definitely won%26#39;t go wrong with Capt. Parker%26#39;s Pub, it%26#39;s very good, it%26#39;s consistant, the food has always been terrific any time we were there and also it%26#39;s a really fun place to go in that vicinity of the Cape some afternoon or night. PLUS it%26#39;s open year round which is ideal.

Have fun!

Will definitely keep Capt. Parker%26#39;s Pub in mind for next summer. Would you belive, with all our trips to the Cape (and that area specifically) we%26#39;ve never eaten there. Go figure?! Thanks for the feedback :-)
