I need to know the name of the Italian resturant across...

I want to meet my family at an Italian resturant across from Mass. Gereral. It is next to a gas station on the street that you enter the parking garages. It is not a fancy place but it does serve good food and it holds a lot of memories for me of when I was at Mass.General for cancer treatment.

I need to know the name of the Italian resturant across...

I think you mean the Venice Cafe... on Cambridge St.

I think the spot you%26#39;re thinking of is Antonio%26#39;s or something along those lines. It%26#39;s on Cambridge next to Grampy%26#39;s filling station, and it%26#39;s next to a lovely florist shop. It does a black and white motif with a black awning over the entrance. It%26#39;s still there and doing as fine as ever. (Hope you%26#39;re not returning to MGH for further treatment.)

Venice Cafe (or Ristorante) is at 204 Cambridge Street, and that is a couple blocks UP the street from Mass. General, right next to the fire station. It%26#39;s more like a take-out joint with tables than a restaurant.

Did that used to be Salvi%26#39;s tower of Pizza? (I lived around the corner on Irving St. in the early 70s)

Hi graciebean,

BeansandCod got it, it%26#39;s Antonio%26#39;s right on Cambridge St., I remember it very well. It was always a wonderful little ';secret'; place we had dinner in a lot. It%26#39;s the type of place that you think NO one else knows about or knew about it at all; but you%26#39;re wrong about that scenario because every one and his mother knows about it and goes there! From what I%26#39;m hearing it%26#39;s still as fantastic as ever there!
