My Boston trip was taken just to see somewhere different %26amp; do abit of shopping. Not the best of places for kids due to the apparent lack of child friendly restaurantes (menu wise). we booked the whale watch but it was cancelled due to bad weather, the tail end of hurricane Wilma. We (wife %26amp; 2 kids) stayed at the Boston Park plaza in Back Bay. This is a great location, central to everything. If your not looking for %26#39;the ritz or four Seasons%26#39; you%26#39;ll find it more than adequate. The Arlington street %26#39;T%26#39; is just over the road from where you can get to just about anywhere around Boston for 90c. You can walk for about 10min over the Boston common to Park St and down one of the side streets you will find Macy%26#39;s %26amp; Filenes, good for bargins. Or go in the opp direction for about 5 min and you are in Copley Sq %26amp; the Prudential Center with more good shopping malls. For breakfast I can recommend the Paramount on Charles Street, another 5 min walk from the hotel, which runs between Boston commomn and public gardens. The foods great but its very busy at the weekend and you are best getting there about 9am weekdays to avoid the crowds. Unlike most dinners you have to cue up first for your food then take the next available table.It sounds odd but works very well. The Duck tours a good, we enjoyed our stay, it was just a pity about the weather. Hope this helps.
