help with direction
Hello PoOkie,
The Seaport Hotel is actually in South Boston. The address says Boston; but actually from the Post Office on Summer St in downtown Boston all the way past the Seaport Hotel where you%26#39;re conference is going to be is actually South Boston. It%26#39;s where Jimmy%26#39;s Harborside is, the Boston World Trade Center is located there as well as the famous No Name Restaurant! The Seaport Hotel is a beautiful hotel, wait until you see it! This area is now called the ';Seaport District'; and it%26#39;s very very up and coming and it%26#39;s going to be quite the place in the not too distant future to be in Boston. The new Convention center is located along this area, it just recently opened this past year and it%26#39;s very nice, I saw it when it first opened! It%26#39;s really pretty nice when you see this whole area now through there! It%26#39;s come a long way from when I lived and worked down there, believe me! The Black Falcon Terminal is here as well and you can see all the mega cruise ships from around the world pull in there. I saw three of them there last week all in at the same time when I drove through here.
It%26#39;s a beautiful area; don%26#39;t worry about a thing while you%26#39;re in this part of Boston. It%26#39;s part of the City%26#39;s big tourist area and trust me when I say this, nothing can happen to you or any of us here or actually in a lot of downtown Boston, it%26#39;s very rare if there is anything that happens now a days. I%26#39;ll tell you, they have way too many State Police around the World Trade Center and the surrounding area for any type of crime to happen! If I were you? I%26#39;d feel pretty safe knowing just that alone. It was just on the news tonight as a matter of fact they caught the guy that raped a couple of women from the Quincy Market taxi stand! I knew they would eventually! There%26#39;s a 2 million dollar bail set; so he won%26#39;t see the light of day!
Getting from the Holiday Inn Express in Dorchester to the Seaport Hotel by driving is only a 6 minute drive, because it%26#39;s only a little over 2 miles and that%26#39;s it. So it shows you how close it is!
If you wanted to take the ';T'; to the Seaport Hotel you can do that from the Holiday Inn Express as well, just get to the ';Red Line'; of the ';T';, just ask the front desk where it is from your hotel, you want the South Station ';T'; stop.
Here%26#39;s where you would go from the South Station ';T'; stop....you would take the MBTA Silver Line (one level above the Red Line, one below the food court) to WTC Station. Take the stairs/escalators/elevators to the upper level and exit onto WTC Ave. and from there you%26#39;ll walk right across to the Seaport Hotel, you can%26#39;t miss it.
Enjoy your conference and time in Boston, have fun!

Hi PoOkie,
You won%26#39;t have to take the ';T'; or drive from the Holiday Inn Express. Your Hotel has a complimentary shuttle right to the Seaport Hotel; it%26#39;ll drop you off at the Black Falcon Pier, well just insist that they drop you off at the Seaport Hotel right at the door because it%26#39;s right across from the Pier a ways, they won%26#39;t mind at all I know they won%26#39;t when they see where the Seaport Hotel is! You%26#39;re in like flint!
Enjoy!
Here%26#39;s the info from the website of the Holiday Inn Express regarding it....
Our hotel also offers 24-hour complimentary transportation to/from Logan International Airport and Black Falcon Pier.
Thank you so much, NoMo01!
I really appreciate your help with the directions.
