Sudden change in plans

While I was scoring the baord for restaurants in the Mid Cape area we call the exciting call that helped us to make a change in plans ( offerof a free weekend away)

We are now going to Falmouth and we have not been there in years. (spent many single weekends in Falmouth long ago) we would like to take our guests to a nice restaurant and out for some music/dancing?? we are in our forties

There will be three couples.

The only restaurant I am familiar with is the Flying Bridge.

The Chart Room is nice, I think it%26#39;s actually in Pocasset, but not far from N. Falmouth. Check on their hours, though.

Sudden change in plans

I%26#39;m not too familiar with that part of the Cape. Although I did go to a wedding a few years ago in that wonderful ';Coonamessett Inn';, I had heard so much about it through the years and it was--without a doubt---absolutely ';top shelf!'; We just loved it! Great food and the ambiance as well as the atmosphere was just wonderful. I know that that ';Flying Bridge'; like you said, would be very good in the Inn.

I%26#39;m hearing a lot of good things about the Sunday Brunch that the Coonamessett has? I%26#39;d check there brunch out on Sunday maybe, it%26#39;s pretty reasonable too and they%26#39;d probably have it done up so elegant. I bet it would be really worth it. That Chart House would be really great for a change! I really don%26#39;t see anything else down through there that jumps out at me to tell you the truth, may be some locals or people that go to Falmouth will suggest some places for you. Have Fun, that%26#39;s a good deal you got for a weekend!

I just clicked on Falmouth Restaurants here and they have a ROOBAR! I went to the one in Chatham last summer; it%26#39;s GREAT! Check that out some night? The food was really really good and it%26#39;s a real FUN place inside! Hey, even for all of us in our 40%26#39;s %26amp; 50%26#39;s....check it out! Have Fun!

They have 3 locations, Chatham, Hyannis and Falmouth.

Here%26#39;s info on the Falmouth location:

Roobar Falmouth

is located at 285 Main Street in the heart of Falmouth. The phone number is 508.548.8600.

Driving Directions:

Cross the Bourne Bridge and follow Route 28 South for about 13 miles. Turn left on Main Street and follow to #285 on the right-hand side. Roobar is directly across from the expansive town library lawn.

What about Shucker%26#39;s on Water St. in Wood%26#39;s Hole? Deck with a pond view, open in Sept., lobster specials, raw and steamed seafood, grilled fish, fun and the dockside patio is heated when needed. 508-540-3850. In Falmouth check out theroobar.com - on Main St. Or just ask your hosts what they would most enjoy.

We also dined at Roobar last August and it was very good. Really nice location, too.

(Do you have the recommendations for cottages in the Dennis area?)

Thanks!

Thank you, NoMo01. I will check out the sites you suggested.

Instead of wading through 400-500 properties at MMRE just call Debra Johnson or Theresa Smith at the 800 # on their company%26#39;s website and a brief conversation will save you a lot of time. Better to work with a realtor than a %26#39;do it yourself%26#39; site to get the most accurate representation of properties. It costs no more to use a professional and insure your vacation rental is what you want. Good luck.

We have stayed in Falmouth, Palmer House Inn and Scallop Shell Inn-both very nice! We LOVE the Quarterdeck for dinner or lunch-excellent! (On Main St., try the $20 lobster roll for 2) We ate at Nimrod-pretty good. Also try the Chapaquoit Grill, Oyters Two and Connamassett Inn-all great! We had lunch at the Flying Bridge and it was very good-losber roll. Enjoy!
