Whalewatching

Hello all,

I%26#39;ll be visiting Boston in two weeks for business. Since I have a spare day left, I was thinking of going on a Whalewatch cruise.

But i have no idea if these are still operational so late in the season and if it is possible at all to do this from Boston.

What will be the weather, which ofcourse also plays a roll...

Your help would be much appreciated :-)

Checked some websites for you re: whale watching and it looks as though the season is over for now. Our weather has definitely begun to change and fall is in the air. Today%26#39;s temp 41 degrees F. There are plenty of other ways to spend a day in Boston or vicinity.

Hi,

Good News - whale watching tours from Boston are available.

We did a whale watching tour in September with Boston Harbor Cruises. It was very good!

Bad News - they only run until 30th October which will probably be too late for you.

Here%26#39;s the info...

Barbie

thanks, both of you.

the 30th would just fit, but perhaps it is too cold to go out on open water?

Fortunately for you, the latest weather forecast indicates temperatures of about 60 degrees F. this Sunday, October 30th. Temperatures, especially with any wind, will be much cooler on the ocean but it just might be tolerable for you. Dress in layers sweaters, coat, even gloves and a hat, etc. which you can remove or put on depending how the temperature and wind factor affects you.

Updated weather forecast - in the fifty degree F. range and claer on Sunday, October 30; Monday, October 31st temperatures are projected to be in the 60 degree F range; and for Saturday, October 29, rainy and cool.
