Hello! I will be staying at the Hyatt Boston on 1 Avenue De Lafayette. What do you think is the best way to get to my hotel from the airport? I was thinking about taking the T but it doesn%26#39;t look that far on the map so I was also thinking about a Taxi. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello rvivian,
I%26#39;d hop in a taxi to the hotel from the airport. It%26#39;s a breeze now with the tunnels the way they are, you%26#39;d be there in two seconds flat. You know what I mean? I find when I travel that I don%26#39;t want to deal with my luggage, the trains, buses and all that jazz. It%26#39;s up to you.
Massport has a really good website and if you click on Transportation from Logan Airport it%26#39;ll list all the ways to get to your hotel. One way is taxi and when you click it on it%26#39;ll explain all about the fares, the routes they take and the different Boston Licensed Companies that they use. Make sure your taxi has a meter in it and the driver is LICENSED; you%26#39;ll see it right in the cab when you get in and it%26#39;s one of the following....
Boston Licensed Taxi Companies
Boston Cab, (617) 536-5010
City Cab, (617) 536-5100
ITOA, (617) 825-4000
Metro Cab, (617) 782-5500
Town Taxi, (617) 536-5000
You%26#39;re hotel is in a great location to get to so many places! Faneuill Hall, Beacon Hill to stroll through it, Charles St. is near the Boston Common and down the street from the Boston State House (the gold domed building you can%26#39;t miss it!); the North End isn%26#39;t too far from you. The Theater District is a hop skip and a jump away, it%26#39;ll be a perfect location.
Have fun!
Transportation advice
Hi Rvivan,
For convenience, nothing beats a taxi. It will be quick and door-to-door. It should cost you around $20 plus tip.
If you are concerned about money, the T will get you there for $1.25. The best way to go is to take the new Silver Line from in front of your arrival terminal, and it goes directly into the Red Line at South Station. Take the Red Line one stop to Downtown Crossing, and your Hotel is about a block away.
Thank you all very much for your wonderful posts!!
