Any recomendations for restaurants around there?
Staying at Omni Parker House Historic Hotel (Restaurant...Good morning HiWalsh!
What? You can%26#39;t find a restaurant near your Parker House? No!!
Go to this site www.scollaysquare.com
It%26#39;s right near the Omni/Parker House not even a minute away at 21 Beacon St. It%26#39;s great! I finally tried it this past weekend, you%26#39;ll love it!
Vinalia%26#39;s is another good one that friends of mine in town that I worked with in the Financial District really love! It%26#39;s the old Dakota%26#39;s at 100 Arch St.
I was just talking to some one yesterday that had dinner over the weekend at ';Julien%26#39;s'; at the Langham Hotel, which isn%26#39;t far at all from the Parker House. She said it was positively incredible! It%26#39;s french cuisine that was truly wonderful. The atmosphere in the dining room is like a Roman Palace with the beautiful gold leaf ceilings, the crystal chandeliers, marble everywhere you look and the most stunning floral arrangements throughout the whole room. Well HIWalsh now that%26#39;s on MY list for dinner some night!
For years and years we used to always always go to Marliaves around the corner from the Parker House but they sold it several years ago and it was never quite the same with the new owners! Do you remember that restaurant? It was unbelievable, the line would be OUT the door every single day!
Other than that, the rage lately is #9 Park within walking distance from the Hotel IF you can get reservations, it%26#39;s always crowded.
My friends and I go to Houston%26#39;s at 60 State St. near Faneuill Hall a lot of times when we%26#39;re trying to figure out where to go! It%26#39;s very good, just a little expensive, but we really like the food and the drinks, it%26#39;s very consistant and it%26#39;s got a great atmosphere for lunch or dinner. It%26#39;s a very relaxed fun place to go around that part of town.
Have fun!
Staying at Omni Parker House Historic Hotel (Restaurant...I forgot....a couple of years ago we had dinner in ';Spire'; at The Nine Zero Hotel a few doors up from The Parker House and it was JUST wonderful! Take a walk in there some day when you%26#39;re at the Parker House and check this hotel and dining room out! We did that before we got reservations for dinner to see it. It%26#39;s fabulous there!
Don%26#39;t forget that you have the Kinsale Pub in Three Center Plaza - right at Government Center; Houston%26#39;s, on the edge of Faneuil Hall near the Sam Adams statue; and you are only a ten minute or so walk to the North End which will open up all kinds of opportunities.
Personally, I think anything within a 15 minute walk is considered walking distance...which gives you all of the North End....and pretty much all of Boylston Street and the South End.
