Also, does anyone know of the names of these two restuarants in the North End?
One is next to the Paul Revere House, it is tiny and dark with exposed brick.
The other one, I%26#39;m not sure what street it is on, but the inside is bright and they have murals of cracked archways painted on the walls?
Also, what is your favorite restaurant in the North End?
Thanks so much!!

Hi Kiwi4422,
Mamma Maria%26#39;s is in a brick townhouse located at 3 North Sq., I think you might mean that one for having exposed brick in that exact vicinity.
Limoncellos at 90 North Sq. has murals painted on the wall, both of these establishments are located on the same street as where Paul Revere resided.
There%26#39;s also a Carmen%26#39;s located at 33 North Sq.
With me, your question really can%26#39;t be answered with an exact restaurant though regarding the murals of cracked archways painted on the walls because there are several establishments over there now with this description.
May be some one else will be able to pin point it for you!
I myself don%26#39;t have a favorite restaurant in the North End any more! I used to, but not any more! Ever since being in a North End dinner club for just way too many years and being born in Boston; as well as living there through the years and experiencing such phenomenal dining over there? I haven%26#39;t got a favorite one any more! They%26#39;re all incredibly AWESOME in my book. You know? In one way or another, you can%26#39;t beat any of them with a stick!
Good luck!

I hate to pick one, since I haven%26#39;t even come close to trying them all, but my favorite hands down so far is Giacomo%26#39;s on Hanover. I%26#39;m always afraid to eat anywhere else in the North End, because as good as it may be, it%26#39;s never quite at the same level as Giacomo%26#39;s. It%26#39;s tiny, noisy and always extremely crowded, so definitely not good for a romantic night out but perfect if you just want an exceptional, fresh, simply prepared meal.
I like La Summa on Fleet Street. Wonderful homemade sauce and pasta. Reasonable prices--family owned. We always make it a point to eat a meal there when in town.
Lo Contes. Famly owned and run. Large portions of good, home cooking. We were directed there by North End locals.
After much searching and thanks to some help here, I figured out the restaurants I%26#39;m looking for are Cibo and Carmen%26#39;s. I was going to go back to one of those this weekend, but some of the suggestions here sound really good too!!
