I know someone already posted this question..but I need a more specialized response please.
1st time Boston visitors for 11/4 - I%26#39;m 32, he%26#39;s 43 and we want to be centrally located to good shopping and a couple of really good pubs.
We like B%26amp;B%26#39;s, but have no idea what part of town to stay in...
Thanks for your help.
Nicest Area - Me Second!
I don%26#39;t know what your budget is, but we stayed at the Charles Street Inn in Beacon Hill this past July. Very elegant, located in a Federal(?-don%26#39;t know my architecture real well) townhouse and it is centrally located and walking distance to most attractions. It is easy to get around Boston on foot, if you like to walk. At night, the gas lamps are lit, and it was nice to stroll through the side streets on the way back to the room in the evening. I think all or most of the rooms have jacuzzi tubs and fireplaces, so it%26#39;s romantic as well. There is one person on the staff who is rather taciturn, but everyone else was friendly. There are lots of freebie snacks, and the breakfasts are quite good, served on a tray privately in your room. I think the inn took either 2004 or 2005 Best Of Boston award for best b%26amp;b. Pricey, but we were treating ourselves. Read more on their website.

Just took a quick look at their availability-looks like they are booked on your date.
Hi,
If you look at the Boston Bed and Breakfast listings here on TripAdvisor, the first 7 locations listed (by rank) are all centrally-located to all the tourist sites and would be ideally-located.
The Clarendon Square (#1 rank) is the only one I have personal experience with, and yes, it%26#39;s fantastic. But, it gets booked quickly because it only has 3 rooms.
If it%26#39;s easier to work with neighborhoods, look in Back Bay, South End, Beacon Hill. Those are the main tourist areas, or very quaint locations near all the tourist stuff.
Stay at the Omni Parker House. It has the best location in Boston right on the Freedom Trail and accross from the commom and right near shopping and Quincy Marketplace. Its a Historic Hotel and invented the Boston Creme Pie and Parker house roll.
They have a great pub in the hotel the Last Hurrah and there are 10 or more pubs within 3 blocks of the hotel including the famous Cheers %26amp; The Littlest bar a Great Irish bar.
