Hotel near Berklee

Coming to Boston in a couple of weeks to visit Berklee. My son is thinking of going there. We will have mom, dad , 17 y.o. son and 11 y.o. daughter. Would be most comfortable with two doubles and a pull out couch. But kids can share a bed if they have to. Coming from Chicago.

What area is Berklee in? I have the address just don%26#39;t know the parts of town like ';Back Bay';, etc.

THANKS!

Hi Suzukimom3,

Ideally for your stay in a few weeks for this visit would be the Back Bay Hilton Hotel. The Admissions Office for Berklee is located in the Genko Uchide Building which is at 921 Boylston St. right across from the Hynes Convention Center, which is the starting point for campus tours.

The Back Bay Hilton Hotel is located right at 40 Dalton St. right where you need to be. It%26#39;s situated steps away, it would be so convenient for you and your family.

Not only could you attend a tour of Berklee School of Music but you could also walk to Newbury St., %26amp; Copley Square for shopping and dining. Boston Common and the Public Gardens are within walking distance from this location right up Boylston St. The Museum of Fine Arts and Symphony Hall are very easy to get to as well.

If you find that this Hotel doesn%26#39;t offer what you need for your family, I would suggest the Marriott Copley which is within this same block only a further walk and if this doesn%26#39;t work check

www.hotels.com as well as this site right here!

Enjoy your visit to this wonderful school and Boston!

The Hilton and Copley Marriott or Copley Westin or Sheraton Boston would all be the closest ';big name'; hotels to Berklee. I%26#39;m sure you will be shocked at the prices, though. Unless, you can try Priceline first and see what you can get in the Back Bay.

One less-expensive option, if that%26#39;s an issue...the Best Western Roundhouse Suites or Hampton Inn hotels on Mass Avenue. They are both in a semi-industrial area, near Boston Medical Center, so they will be substantially cheaper than the hotels in the Back Bay. They are both fairly new, very clean and comfortable places, and I believe the Roundhouse has suites as well.

The hotels are about 1.5 miles from Berklee, straight up Mass Ave. The MBTA rte 1 bus runs right by the hotel and right to the entrance to Berklee. It has a very frequent schedule and it%26#39;s convenient.

If you don%26#39;t mind staying a bit off the beaten path, you could do well with these. Check the ratings for both here on Trip Advisor.

I would add the Midtown Hotel to the list. It%26#39;s on Huntington Ave., not too far a walk from the Berklee College buildings.

It%26#39;s reasonably priced for Boston. Take a look at the reviews here on Tripadvisor.

ting

I just returned from Boston as my son is a senior at Berklee.

We stayed at The Colonnade which is a great location. The hotel is a little loud at times but everyone was very nice. My 7 year old loved the fact of Barnes and Noble across the street.
