Four days in Boston with a 3-year-old. Advice on...

I will be taking a trip to Boston in November to see the Boston Museum of Science Star Wars exhibit. That will cover one day. My kids (the other is 7) are really too young to know much about Paul Revere and the Freedom Trail. What other good things to see are there that are basically indoors because I%26#39;m sure it will be freezing and windy (haha)?

Thanks!

They%26#39;re at a really good age to bring them to the Children%26#39;s Museum on Congress St. It%26#39;s a good one. They%26#39;d really like it and you%26#39;ll be glad you brought them there!

Here%26#39;s the site for it....

See if there%26#39;s a good kids movie out and if there is, bring them to the Loew%26#39;s Theater on Tremont St., especially if it%26#39;s a rainy cold day. It%26#39;s a really nice theater. In fact I%26#39;m going there tomorrow to see the new one with Shirley MacLaine! Usually by November they have new kids movies out? I%26#39;d check that out.

The Museum of Science will keep you VERY busy! You could always walk or drive over to CambridgeSide Galleria, they have a really good underground parking garage, you%26#39;ll see this Mall when you%26#39;re over at the Museum. It would be good to bring them here and have lunch or something? They have a Cheesecake Factory that%26#39;s out of this world and a great Food Court that you could bring them to.

I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll find things in Boston to do! You have to bring them to see the ';Make Way For Ducklings'; statues at the Public Garden. They SHOULD be there still, look for them!

Have fun!

The Aquarium and IMAX are all indoors, so is the Museum of Science, Children%26#39;s Musem. Tomb @ 5-wits - Interactive Indoor ';Tomb'; where you have to solve puzzles to figure out the Mystery of the Mummy. Very fun! Also, I would take your children on a duck tour if they are still running because they have Also, if they like sports a Fenway Park Tour might be fun, though I%26#39;ve heard mixed reviews.Oh and you may also want to get a value pass to save money. The Go Boston Card would probably be a good option for you because child%26#39;s card is 25 dollars and I think it goes up to age 12. There is also a sale right now too, it seems. Have a great time!

Hi,

The Children%26#39;s museum is definitely a must-see with your kids; they are sure to love it. It%26#39;s one of the best in the country. The New England Aquarium is sure to please, as well.

Another idea. In Brookline (right near downtown Boston, on the Green Line T) is the Puppet Showplace theater. It%26#39;s a puppet theater, geared obviously towards kids. I%26#39;ve taken my nephews there in the past, and it%26#39;s been wonderful:

Harvard has a great Museum of Natural History, with Dinosaur bones, stuffed animals, etc. Kids usually enjoy that sort of thing:

You can take them to the Observation Deck at the top of the Prudential Tower. Kids seem to like that sort of thing, too.

Weather in November might not be so bad; it can be sunny and warm, if you are lucky. If that%26#39;s the case, take them to Plimouth Plantation village in Plymouth. It%26#39;s a historically-accuate re-creation of the Pilgrims%26#39; first settlement in Mass. It%26#39;s a lot of fun, and very well done. It%26#39;s especially fun around Thanksgiving time:
