I live in Maynard. Anybody else out there living in Maynard? How about work in Maynard? How about planning to visit?
Talk about Maynard!
Yeah, Mayard is a great little town.
Talk about Maynard!
Have lived in Maynard since 1981, I lived and worked in Boston when it was time to buy a house. More comfortable with the North Shore, I would have to commute 36 mi each way to work as I couldn%26#39;t locate anything affordable closer than Ipswich. Looking West, I found a 130 year old mill house just 26 mi from Boston.
I spent summers in Sudbury so I had a passing knowledge of Maynard in the 1960s when it was a seriously depressed community with nothing to offer socially. I was not thrilled about that aspect of living in the town when I moved here in the early 80s. However I was amazed to see the transformation wrought both in the community and populace by Digital%26#39;s presence at the mill.
And then Digital left. The taxes are much higher than my mortgage and I have serious doubts about how the town is managed. I will be priced right out of living here if something isn%26#39;t done to contain costs--from trash removal to overrides.
