I am visiting Boston for the first time and heard the food is amazing, any recommendations for an Italian Restaurant Saturday night? It is our anniversary.
Italian Restaurant in Boston, not too expensiveHello ChristyLac,
You%26#39;re right the food/restuarants are awesome! Especially the Italian restaurants. You%26#39;re going to have a hard time choosing which one to go to!
Up around Park Sq. there%26#39;s two really good Italian restaurants they%26#39;re not too far from the Radisson Hotel and near the Public Garden. One of them is Davio%26#39;s at 75 Arlington St., 617 357-4810 the other really good one is a chain from Chicago but we adopted them here and they%26#39;re awesome it%26#39;s Maggiano%26#39;s at 4 Columbus Ave., 617 542-3456.
The North End of Boston has a huge amount of restaurants, where do you want to go? Take your pick! There%26#39;s Massimino%26#39;s on Endicott St., there%26#39;s The Daily Catch for Seafood on Hanover., there%26#39;s Lucca%26#39;s on Hanover St., there%26#39;s Limoncello%26#39;s on North Sq. that%26#39;s very good, I%26#39;m going to #5 North Sq., on Thursday night to check it out finally, I%26#39;ve heard so much about this one! So take your pick over there, in fact they%26#39;re all very good; there%26#39;s the Cantina on Hanover St., one thing about the North End you can have dinner and then go to one of there Cafe%26#39;s for dessert! Mike%26#39;s Pastry or Cafe Graffitti both on Hanover St., or Cafe Vittoria at 295 Hanover St., there%26#39;s a lot to see and do in the North End. Stroll Salem St., one street over from Hanover and check out the shops before you leave. Modern Pastry and Mike%26#39;s Pastry are where you%26#39;ll find the famous cannolli%26#39;s, they%26#39;re the best, all there pastries are extremely good!
Enjoy your trip and have fun!
Italian Restaurant in Boston, not too expensive
Here%26#39;s a good link for the restaurants in Boston!
If you google North End Restaurants, Boston, MA or
check this one out...it lists all the restaurants with addresses etc....another good site is the phantom gourmet%26#39;s

My favorite Italian restaurant in Boston is La Summa on Fleet Street. Great homemade pasta and sauce---non chain family run place, very reasonably priced. We always make it a point to have at least one meal there when we%26#39;re in town.
I second La Summa!
I second La Summa!
La Famiglia Giorgio on Salem Street in the
North End is always one of our favorites for italian food.
I always enjoy Antico Forno, on Salem St. in the North End. It%26#39;s more Tuscan/Northern Italian, with an emphasis on wood-grilled food. Very delicious.
Definitely head to the North End for Italian. You can%26#39;t beat the atmosphere, and the choices are endless! We recently had a f baulous eal in North Square at Riccardo%26#39;s (I think). It%26#39;s across from the Paul Rever House, and the veal was fabulous. Also, I keep hearing good things about 5 North Square, I%26#39;d love to know how NoMo likes it.
I second the suggestion for canolli at Mike%26#39;s. Skip desert at your restaurant of choice, take a stroll around the neighborhood, then head to Mike%26#39;s for coffee and pastry.
Good Morning!
The #5 North Square Restaurant was extremely good. I think every one should try it at least once there for dinner some night
when they%26#39;re in the North End. It%26#39;s located 3 doors from Paul Revere%26#39;s House on the Freedom Trail, very easy to get to, as all of the cute little restaurants are over there. We ended up parking right on Commercial St. for $10 which wasn%26#39;t too bad during the week. We usually park at the Post Office Square Garage up in the Financial District for $7, but for a few dollars more where it%26#39;s been getting cooler out these days, we decided to park closer, that way we walked a few streets over and we were there in no time.
It%26#39;s got exquisite food here. For starters, we got one of there appetizers. I%26#39;m telling you it was incredible. It was the Shrimp ';Amalti'; which is the jumbo shrimp with mushrooms and spinach sauteed in garlic and olive oil, it was WONDERFUL! Probably the best I ever had in my life. 2 of my friends that dined with me are Italian descent and absolutely went crazy over this as well. I got the Braciolettini which you can have with either veal or chicken, I ended up with the chicken stuffed with proscuitto and mozzarella cheese and rolled then sauteed in a marsala wine %26amp; mushroom sauce. It was positively incredible. The
only thing with my friends and I? We%26#39;re trying to see if we can hit a different spot every time we step foot in that North End! There%26#39;s just way too many great
establishments in that little
tiny area and you really can%26#39;t beat it any where in the City for quality and ambiance.
This was one of the top places to dine for us!
I think when I go back there I%26#39;d request to sit upstairs the next time though! Where it%26#39;s so small and quaint as you walk in to the place? I think they should leave that for couples to sit all in through there and leave it as ';tables for 2'; and put groups like us that want to be a little louder sit upstairs, you know what I mean!
I noticed a lot of parties of 4 and more were heading right upstairs when they walked in! That%26#39;s where we
should have been as well! That%26#39;s probably the only thing about our experience there
that we thought was a little annoying for us and for these poor young couples that just wanted to be alone and have a nice quiet little dinner!
For us when we go out to dinner? We want to go out enjoy ourselves and laugh all we want while we%26#39;re having dinner, that%26#39;s part of the whole enjoyment of going out to us. So that%26#39;s about the only thing, if you have a group for this restaurant---definitely go upstairs!
For couples...
It%26#39;s got a famous table #30 at the window as you walk in and it%26#39;s the most requested table in all of Boston for couples. It%26#39;s that ';nice quiet little table in the corner that every one wants! Well online it says it%26#39;s a ';magical'; spot for proposals of marriage, birthdays, anniversaries and all kinds of occasions of good news! So while we were there it was so cute to see, a young couple got engaged!
