We are planning a trip for late summer 2006. Any info/feedback on the Breakwaters in Hyannis? Is Hyannis a good place for a young family of four (children in second grade)? Is there a better town in which to stay? Is there a lot for kids to do on the Cape? Thanks so much for any assistance!

Help in planning family tripCan anyone who replies here look at my posting of 7 Oct as we too are visiting in Summer 2006 with a family of four.!!!
There is a lot for children to do on the Cape. Different types of beaches (Nantucket Sound, warm, calm water, the bay side, you can walk out a long way during low tide and find crabs and pay in the sand, The National Sea Shore, with its endless beaches and big waves. Children can skim board in the tidal ppols on the Bay Side and boogie board on Nantucket sound and the National Sea Shore.
The Cape has more than its share of ';kid stuff';, mini-golf, arcades, go-carts,...It has children%26#39;s theater (The Harwich Junior Theater comes to mind). Shopping in Chatham or Provincetown is fun.
Hyannis is very busy in the summer. A lot of families like Yarmouth, Dennsiport, West Dennis. We stay in Harwich which is a little quieter.
If you can tell me what you are interested in, I will try to provide some direction.
