A Great Place to stay -- Huntsman Lodge in West Dennis, MA

We just got back from a great get-away to Cape Cod. We%26#39;d like to get the word out about the place we stayed this time. It was

the best we%26#39;ve come across in a long time.

The Huntsman Lodge on Main Street (Rt. 28)

in West Dennis. The location was perfect...

close to Route 6 Highway, close to the beatiful beaches, and an easy drive for out sightseeing, which took us to Chattahm and Hyannis. The rooms were large, comfortable,

and very cleam. Comfy mattress! The staff went out of their way to make our experience a good one. Can%26#39;t wait to go back.

We rented a house in Yarmouthport this past August for one week. It was a Sat-Sat rental. I came up with the idea of driving up on Friday night and spending that night at a motel. (Beats driving in the Sat. AM Cape traffic). That worked out very well. Our boys were able to use the pool the next day and by the time we had our lunch, etc it was time to %26#39;check in%26#39; to the rental house.

We stayed at Town %26#39;N Country on Rte. 28 in W. Yarmouth. Nothing fancy but fine for a less-than 24 hr stay.

Seeing as how we%26#39;ve already made plans to spend another week in the area next August (we%26#39;ve already sent in a deposit for a house)we need ideas for a place to stay for that Friday night.

We%26#39;re finding that many (most) places don%26#39;t wanna take reservations for just one night, this far in advance anyway. A different story as it gets closer....

One of the places that told us to call them back to check availability was Beach %26#39;N Towne in South Yarmouth. Have read some wonderful reviews.

Another place was Holiday Hill Motor Inn in Dennisport.

I do remember coming across the website for The Huntsman Motor Lodge and thinking I%26#39;d like some additional info.

I thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience there. Always nice to hear %26#39;good things%26#39;.

My husband and I are actually spending Memorial Day weekend (a lil romantic getaway for us)in the area so perhaps we can check out the place for ourselves and possibly make reservations for August. :-)
