Downtown hotel for less than $200?

Is this possible: a hotel downtown for less than $200/night and no roaches or ';ladies of the night';?

Thanks,

AA

Oh, on 11-2-05 -- sorry.

It might be possible if you are willing to bid for a room using one of the discount webpages. Check out betterbidding.com or biddingfortravel.com for help in the bidding process.

stayed in the eliot hotel over the 4th of july 2 years ago and paid well under 200.00 for a large room...this past june paid around 149.00 for a room at the millenium and got a suite overlooking quincy marketplace...both reservations were made by calling the hotels directly!

Travelling,

Try the Clarion Bullifinch Hotel on Merrimac St. near North Station. It%26#39;s a nice, clean, relatively-new hotel in a good location, near the North End and Quincy Market. I think rooms run around $180/night.

Also, try the Midtown hotel on Huntington Ave, and the Tremont House Hotel, on Tremont St. near the Theater District.

Priceline is also a good idea to try. I%26#39;ve heard people say in this forum, that they have gotten room for as low as $80/night.

Hiya,

I am here in Town on business staying at the Springfield Suites by Marriott in Devens. The digs are typical Marriott style, clean and basic. The thing is that Devens (formerly Fort Devens) is located in the ';sticks'; about 60 miles outside of Boston. Once I have taken care of business here I intend to head into the City to check things out. I have never been, so I am very much looking forward to it.

After reading this thread I took BeantownMan%26#39;s advice and contacted the Bulfinch Hotel in downtown Boston to see if I could score a room for under $200 bucks and without maxing out my business expense account..

This Site (as usual) and this Thread worked like a charm!! I was able to book a room for $155.86

Thanks tripadvisor and thanks BeantownMan!

Hi Travelling,

I%26#39;m glad I was able to help you out. I%26#39;d be interested to know what you think of the Bullfinch, after your stay. Also, if you decide to eat at the Angus Steakhouse there, let us know. I%26#39;m curious to try it sometime; I%26#39;ve heard good things about the original one in Montreal.

I wish I could edit my posts (anyone listening there, TripAdvisor?)

That last post was meant for Lakesshow55 ;)
