Best town and inn to stay in the Berkshires?

Hi! I%26#39;m planning a foliage trip for next week, and want to stay in the Berkshires region for 2 nights. Which town would you recommend? And if you have a favorite inn, I%26#39;d love to hear about it! :O)

We stayed one year at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge www.redlioninn.com....we were there for Thanksgiving Dinner it was so good and the atmosphere at this Inn is just wonderful. While there you can%26#39;t leave Stockbridge without going to the Norman Rockwell Museum. It%26#39;s quite a town and so picturesque you%26#39;ll love it! Another year we were in Connecticut not too far from this Inn and we stayed at the White Hart Inn in Salisbury. Go in to the site to see it, it%26#39;s positively beautiful. You%26#39;d really love this Inn, we had breakfast and dinner here one night, we really loved it.

Have fun checking out places! It%26#39;s such a beautiful part of the region. Do you know I finally saw that Mohawk Trail a few years ago for the first time? It was a few days after Thanksgiving! It was so so pretty! The funniest thing was when I drove around the narrow curving type road it has, I spotted an Indian Gift Shop at the top. So I went in and asked the gentleman if he could tell me if I was on my way to BOSTON by going that way! You would have laughed your head off if you saw this whole scenario! We were coming back from Connecticut and never went this way before and I really really thought I was in another country or something, none of it looked familiar and it did NOT look like Massachusetts at ALL to us! The gentleman in the Indian Store almost fell off the ladder he was on in his shop from laughing so hard! He said to me ';Yes MAME you%26#39;re certainly going the right way for BOSTON!'; It was so funny!

It%26#39;s positively beautiful in this whole region, take your pick of Inns and B%26amp;B%26#39;s I%26#39;m sure you won%26#39;t have any trouble picking out a beautiful one! I%26#39;ll always have these two the Red Lion Inn and the White Hart Inn right in my heart because they%26#39;re my favorites! Just go in and check them out and you%26#39;ll see why! They have good package deals to stay there I might add! They%26#39;re both just stunning, if you want to stay in a real New Englandy Inn? These are IT!!
