It seems like the peak for the leaves will be later than usual this year, but I%26#39;m not sure when it will be! I want to take a drive up to Burlington VT, but I would hate to miss out on the leaves or go too soon. Does anyone have any idea when the best time to go might be?

Unfortunately, peak is done and gone from that end of the world. I was in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont over Columbus Day Weekend and it was just about finished. There are some golds and reds out there but there was a nasty windstorm about 2 weeks ago that stripped many of the trees bare.
You might be better to focus on Southern Vermont now, say Manchester, Woodstock and Bennington Areas. Take a drive up Route 100 which runs the north-south route through the center of the state and see what%26#39;s up.
