Appetizers, Wine and Desert (only) for a Friend's 30th...

Want to make it a special evening but need to be someplace where the food is decent, the prices aren%26#39;t going to put us into bankruptcy (e.g.: $30 appetizers ain%26#39;t cuttin%26#39; it), and they won%26#39;t through a fit when we don%26#39;t order entrees.

Can anyone suggest someplace special for this?

Thanks!

Why not try Finale, in Park Square? They serve light food on the menu, because their specialty is dessert. You can get some munchies, and then pig out on some chocolate torte :)

One other idea...the chocolate buffet at the Langham hotel in Boston. They offer it only on Saturday afternoons, but it%26#39;s an all you can eat buffet of nothing but chocolate things. It%26#39;s really indulgent, but it%26#39;s also different and fun, too.

Here%26#39;s the information:

I%26#39;m a big fan of Capital Grille on Newbury Street, and I%26#39;ve seen people go in and just order wine and desserts, so I%26#39;m certain they can accomodate you. I always go there for special ocassions as the service, atmosphere and food are always exceptional, the portions are large and the prices really aren%26#39;t outrageous. I think the only truly expensive appetizer is the cold shellfish platter, and even that%26#39;s under $30.00.

Also, if you can make it out to Brookline, I recommend La Morra on Rt. 9. They have a great Italian tapas menu so you can mix and match, as well as very creative appetizers. And the desserts (and dessert drinks!) will blow you away. It%26#39;s one of my favorite restaurants.

Finales, chocolate and champagne, need I say more?
