My Boston Weekend Review!

I was in Boston Sept 30-Oct 3 with my sister, her husband, and his friend. We are ages 30-33 years old.

Day 1: Hit Legal Seafood asap! Excellent Clam Chowder and very good oysters- Prince Edwards to be exact. That evening went to Gypsy Bar. Cover charge $10 and drinks range about $9. Good bar and great dance floor with a variety of music.

Day 2: Lunch at The Daily Catch at 323 Hanover (North End). Calamari was all that and Cherrystone clams were yummy too! Went by Mike%26#39;s Pastry and boy was there a line for cannolis! Walked around Faneuil Marketplace and watched street entertainers. Although there are many stores, I didn%26#39;t think they had great souvenirs (mostly junk). Walked down to the pier to the Boston Tea Party attraction- nothing was there! It%26#39;s not going to be there until 2006! That night went to Whiskey Park at the Boston Plaza Hotel. Cover charge $10 again. Great trendy place, get there early to avoid the lines. It%26#39;s a dance-where-you%26#39;re-standing kind of place.

Day 3: Went on the Duck Tour (purchased tickets the day before). It%26#39;s about 1 hr. 15 min and entertaining. Afterwards drove down to Newbury St. and had an early dinner at Capital Grille. Seemed the same as Houston%26#39;s. Clam Chowder wasn%26#39;t as good as Legal Seafood. Drove out to Salem that night and did the Ghost %26amp; Vampire Tour from Mollie. She doesn%26#39;t do the actual tour! I wasn%26#39;t that impressed with it, got kind of boring although I did capture an orb in my picture.

Day 4: By myself at the airport so I had one last chance to hit Legal Seafood there- more Clam Chowder and more oysters!

Great trip, BEAUTIFUL weather- we were lucky, thanks Beantown!

My Boston Weekend Review!

My husband, who likes clam chowder, really enjoys Legal%26#39;s. While in Boston, we tried Jasper White%26#39;s Summer Shack and he said the clam chowder there was as good as Legal%26#39;s! The Faneuil Marketplace does have alot of touristy type shops but it is always interesting to look around.

You certainly accomplished alot---even managing a side trip to Salem! I%26#39;m glad to hear that you had great weather for your trip.
