2005/2006 Firest Night in Boston - Where to stay, what to...

We are planning on coming into the city from Dec. 29 - Jan 1 and don%26#39;t know where to stay that is closest to everything. We would like to park for these days and just take the T or cabs around. So I guess a Hotel that is near a T station or within walking distance of most First Night activities. Any suggestions?

Thanks :-)

Well driving into town from where you are is no biggie, but what about taking the bus? That way you don%26#39;t have to shell out serious cash for parking for a car you%26#39;re not even going to use.

First Night takes over much of the city, so deciding on where to stay is really only dictated on how much walking you%26#39;re prepared to do. Snow sculptures are in Copley Square and both Trinity Church and Arlington Street Church will probably have activities.

The schedule is probably not that firm, but check on the website to see what%26#39;s been lined up. http://www.firstnight.org

If you want a short hop back to the hotel after the midnight fireworks over the harbor, think about a place closer to downtown/Faneuil Hall. If that%26#39;s not a biggie for you then Copley Square for the opening parade at 5:00 PM.
