Flying out of Logan for 1 week - where to park?

We are flying out this Saturday at 7am. There are so many places to park near Logan, Park and Fly, Thrifty, etc. Which places are the closest and safest? Is it better to park at the airport in long-term parking?

Thanks

Since you%26#39;re leaving so early in the AM, are you coming down the night before? If so, you can stay at the Hampton Inn on Rt 1A, leave your car there and they will take you to Logan in their shuttle.

Check the Massport website for parking changes. With all the new construction in and around Logan, a lot of the satellite lots are no longer in use. It will have the most up to date information. http://www.massport.com

Also, since you%26#39;re coming from VT, what about taking the bus down the day before and staying at at the airport? Is that an option for you? Vermont Transit would drop you at South Station and you can get the Silver Line shuttle to Logan from there.

I am from NH and my family still lives there, who are coming with us. There are 6 of us total, so getting rooms for the night will get pricey. We are planning on arriving at the airport around 5. I saw Thrifty Airport Valet service, do you know anything about them? Anywhere that you would suggest?

Thanks :-)

Each time we go to Logan we park or get dropped off at the Logan Express bus terminal in Woburn. This bus terminal is at the new Commerce Way ramp on Rt 93. The parking is much less than at the airport and the bus drivers do a great job getting you to Logan airport taking a route based on the traffic. They drop off and pick up at all the airport terminals frequently.

You may want to consider this option although depending on how many people you have going it may not be worth it.

There are six of us, so it may be less to do a park and fly. I just found Logan Park %26amp; Go, their rate is $94.00 for the week. Anyone know anything about them?

Thanks

Sorry - yes for 6 it would not be worth it. Keep it in mind for the rest of your family from NH to use in the future. We%26#39;ve used LoganExpress for years now and it is so convenient especially as my parents live nearby and can drop us there so we don%26#39;t have to leave our car all week. Beats driving in town any day.

Hi Sezthadei,

Yes you%26#39;re right there are a lot of places to park at Logan but it%26#39;s expensive, that%26#39;s the only thing. I%26#39;ve seen the Logan Park and Go in fact they%26#39;re located on No. Washington St. in Boston as well as Chelsea. The website is really good for it, it seems to be reputable, I haven%26#39;t heard of any horror stories with them.

What we do is park in Newburyport, MA at 90 Storey Ave. at the intersection of Rte 113 and 95. They have Free Parking with over 400 spaces. The buses are the C%26amp;J Trailways with Nonstop Service to Logan. The terminal hours are 3:45 AM to 1 AM. There phone is 1 800 258-7111. Check there site out....

From your drive down from Vermont, what part of New Hampshire are you going to be picking up the others? If it%26#39;s any where near 95 this might be a good alternative for you. I know a lot of people that will leave there cars in Newburyport and just take this bus down. It%26#39;s convenient and really fast. It%26#39;s also being done up in Portsmouth near the Pease International Tradeport at the bus terminal there as well.

This way you can relax on the bus, you won%26#39;t worry about your car all week being in Boston and you%26#39;re not dishing that kind of money out, you can use it on your vacation instead. So think about it.

Here%26#39;s the site to check it out....

Good luck and have a great time!

I%26#39;ve parked at Thrifty several times. Relatively easy, because it%26#39;s right on 1A (it%26#39;s north of the airport). If you google Thrifty parking coupon (or something like that), you should be able to get a coupon. Also, I think AAA gets you 15% off.

Their shuttle buses run frequently --it%26#39;s about 15 minutes to the airport.

Very fast to check in your car -- they have a separate line from the rental car check-in.

Good luck!
