what is the best brunch/breakfast place in boston
Hi DrMac,
This looks interesting....The Living Room...it%26#39;s cool looking, it%26#39;s on my list for places to check out, you can view the menu and directions online.....
http://www.thelivingroomboston.com
Also the Scollay Square restaurant has Sunday Brunch at 21 Beacon St. which is really good I%26#39;m hearing....
www.scollaysquare.com
Brunch is very popular at the Harvard Gardens at 316 Cambridge St., in Boston.
Henrietta%26#39;s Table at the Charles Hotel @ 1 Bennett St., Cambridge looks incredible....
Cafe Fleuri has a Sunday Jazz Brunch it%26#39;s located at 250 Franklin St. Boston in the Langham Hotel! It%26#39;s JUST out of this world there! It used to be Le Meridian Hotel! Also, dinner at Julien%26#39;s is unbelievable there!
There%26#39;s a 4 star Sunday Brunch that%26#39;s supposed to be incredible in Somerville that I%26#39;m hearing a lot about. It%26#39;s called the Neighborhood Restaurant %26amp; Bakery and it%26#39;s located in Union Sq. Somerville at 25 Bow St. I guess it%26#39;s unbelievable. I%26#39;ve never been but it%26#39;s ON THE LIST trust me!
Well this should get you started! Others might add to this list and then you%26#39;re on your own!
Have fun and enjoy your 3 days in Boston!
what is the best brunch/breakfast place in boston
DrMac, highly, highly, HIGHLY (!) recommend the breakfast we got at the Paramount cafe on Charles Street - in the Beacon Hill district.
I had divine apple %26amp; cinnamon pancakes with delicious sausages. This place got one of the %26#39;Best of Boston%26#39; awards, as far as I know. It%26#39;s really cosy and seems incredibly busy all the time. We tried there for brunch on the Sunday we were there...forget it - the queues were out the door.
I second the Paramount Cafe.
Some others...
Doyles in Jamaica Plain at the Green St. stop on the Orange Line is my all-time favorite for weekend brunch. To be honest, I don%26#39;t know if they serve weekday breakfast. It%26#39;s an old neighborhood tavern with an ';Irish pub'; feel to it, and a favorite haunt of politicians, as evidenced by the many photos lining the walls.
In the South End (Columbus Ave near West Newton St.) is Charlie%26#39;s... another favorite with local pols...more of a diner atmosphere with simple home-cooked traditional breakfast fare... cheap.
Mike%26#39;s City Diner, also in the South End has a great reputation with locals, but I%26#39;ve only had dinner there, so I can%26#39;t speak from experience.
Forgot to mention... across the river, in Inman Square, the S %26amp; S Deli is not only great for breakfast (served anytime), but is worth the trip for lunch or dinner as well. It%26#39;s not served directly by subway, but is a reasonable (4-5 blocks) walk from Central Square station on the Red LIne. Inman Square is also accessible by bus from Lechmere Square station on the Green Line.
I second JS,
the S%26amp;S outside Inman Sq (http://www.sandsrestaurant.com/)

Hi,
Mike%26#39;s City Diner on Washington St., near Massachusetts Ave. in the South End has fantastic breakfasts. Huge fluffy pancakes, enormous omelets, and great hash browns too. It%26#39;s usually packed if you try to go on Sunday mornings, but during the week, it%26#39;s easy to get in.
For Sunday brunch, the Blue Room in Cambridge (near Kendall Sq.) has a fantastic buffet brunch spread with all sorts of great food, made to order stuff and prepared, too.
Here%26#39;s a link to the menu:

Also for brunch in the South End, I highly recommend Bob%26#39;s Southern Bistro. They have a sunday jazz brunch with a live jazz quartet, and great southern soul food like ribs, fried chicken, mac and cheese, and a yummy sweet potato pie. Make reservations ahead if you want to go:

Click on the ';menus'; menu at the top, then the brunch link.
Add Aujourd%26#39;hui at the Four Seasons Hotel | 200 Boylston St., Boston for an upscale breakfast or brunch. Ask for a window table overlooking the Boston Common.
Also, for lunch only try the buffet lunch at the Boston Public Library restaurant in Copley Square. It is excellent.
If you don%26#39;t need a huge meal, Flour in the South End is fantastic. They probably have the best baked goods in Boston. You%26#39;ll have to try the homemade doughnuts if they haven%26#39;t sold out by the time you get there and the quiche of the day is always good. There aren%26#39;t too many tables, but it%26#39;s one of the best places in Boston to read the paper over a leisurely Sunday breakfast.
