Jewellery stores

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a high end jewellery store in Boston. My girlfriend and I are planning to buy our rings out there in the next few weeks while on holidays there. Any tips would be really appreciated

Hi Blasketisland,

The Jeweler%26#39;s Building in Downtown Crossing has DePrisco%26#39;s, Barmakian Brothers, and DeScenza%26#39;s! Three very good jewelers that have been in Boston for years. DePrisco%26#39;s is also on the side of the Parker House Hotel heading toward Tremont St. Barmakian Brothers are located in Nashua, NH as well. Look for any one of these jewelers while shopping. Don%26#39;t buy until you%26#39;ve been to all of these because you want to make sure you compare! When you go to Barmakian Brothers, they have two locations in the Jewelers building. The one around the corner from there main shop on the same floor (I believe it%26#39;s the 7th floor at 444 Washington St. still) go around the corner to their other location and they%26#39;ll buzz you in, it%26#39;s where the diamonds are all located out back. Sit down out back and take your time inspecting what they have. They%26#39;re unbelievable....same with DePrisco%26#39;s...look for them in the Jewelers Building....

Shreve Crump %26amp; Low is very high end on Boylston St., my uncle is an Attorney and gave us the most beautiful blue trimmed Boston scene dishes last Christmas from this shop, they%26#39;re stunning! He got us every one of them!

You know where my nieces love to go? Tiffany%26#39;s! So when you get over to Copley Place in the Back Bay look for it, it%26#39;s not too far from the Marriott%26#39;s escalator! They love that jewelers! Check it out online too...

Barnakian Brothers is located at 333 Washington St. Ste 720.

DePrisco%26#39;s is located at 387 Washington St. 6th Flr.

Shreve Crump %26amp; Low is located at 330 Boylston St....

This is what I get for talking on my cell phone instead of filling you in with correct information, I just noticed I gave you the incorrect address for DePrisco%26#39;s above....

DePrisco%26#39;s Jeweler%26#39;s is located at 333 Washington St. on the 4th Flr. as well as Barmakian Brothers that%26#39;s ALSO in the same building on the 7th flr. Right beside the elevator when you get off on the right is there shop! To the LEFT of the elevators you%26#39;ll see the window right there and you take a right at the window and at the end of the hall is there door that you need to get buzzed in by their assistants. This is where their wedding rings and diamonds are for Barmakian Brothers. This is the room where you%26#39;ll be able to sit down, take your time and they%26#39;ll bring you tray after tray out of the stunning jewelry that they have.

Tiffany%26#39;s and Shreve%26#39;s are two high end jeweler%26#39;s in town that I know of and have been in Boston for a long time, they%26#39;ll be extremely attentive and will show you there stunning trays. Tiffany%26#39;s is actually a New York jeweler that came to Boston when the Copley Place opened several years ago.

May be there are others that I%26#39;m not aware of that are even more high end than these, I tend to doubt it though! Long%26#39;s Jeweler%26#39;s has been in Boston since 1878. It%26#39;s located at 100 Summer St.

Best Wishes and Good Luck!

Last week, Shreve, Crump %26amp; Low, Boston%26#39;s grande dame of jewelers for 136 years moved to 440 Boylston St. in the former FAO Schwarz building in Boston. The layout of the store layout is dramatically different.

Thanks a million,

Guys, you are really helping out. Thanks for the update edgers , I actually know where that building is so that great. Have even been browsing the Tiffanys site and saw some stuff on there within the price range so that was a real bonus.

Cheers
