Hi Vivienne40,

There are 3 that I%26#39;ve seen in Boston that I%26#39;ve heard good things about. May be other people can help you with their suggestions as well.

This first one listed is where friends of mine that I worked with in the Financial District absolutely love to this day....

Montien Thai

63 Stuart St.

617 338-5600

www.Montien-Boston.com

Bangkok Blue

651 Boylston St.

617 266-1010

Thai Basil Restaurant

132 Newbury St.

617 578-0089

617 424-8424

Check this site right here for Hotels to stay at. If you want the Montien Thai restaurant you have several to choose from on Tremont St and the surrounding side streets. The Hyatt is a good location.

If you choose the Newbury St or Boylston St restaurants then you would be in the Back Bay area and there are several Hotels to choose from in that area of town located on Huntington Ave as well as Boylston St. so look for the many hotels listed right here on this site.

Good luck and have a wonderful New Year celebrating in Boston!

Hi,

I would definitely agree with all three choices listed above. I%26#39;d also add these two of my favorite Thai places:

Brown Sugar Cafe

129 Jersey St.

Boston (Fenway)

Also,

Thai Village

592 Tremont St.

Boston (South End)

For New Year%26#39;s Eve events, effective November 18, 2005 check:

I must reccommend Chilli Duck. It is the sister restaurant to Montien (which I saw someone suggested). In my opionion, this is an absolutely fabulous choice to ring in the new year. It is located on Boylston Street, across from the Prudential Center. The parade goes down Boyleston Street in the early evening. You will definitely be in the middle of it all. I have walked in a blizzard to come to this restaurant.

ps: must try the crazy rolls!

Thank you all for your suggestions.Pat
