If you have the means to travel outside the city, you can find very traditional New England Fare at The Wayside Inn in Sudbury. The location is idyllic, and steeped in history. Brush up on you Henry Wadsworth Longfellow for the fullest experice, many of the locales for his poems are right here...';Neith the spreading chestnut tree, the village smithy stood...';

When my family visited me one year for Thanksgiving and my apartment on Beacon Hill was woefully undersized to accommodate them for a nice meal, I took them to The Federalist in the XV Beacon hotel. We had a fantastic meal and they still remember it fondly. I’d highly recommend it.

If you like Vinalia, also check out Troquet, which is one of my personal favorites.
