Whale watching

My husband and I are looking into planning a whale watching trip for Oct 1st thru Oct 4th. We received information on the Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruise and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them? Also, any advice on where to stay (a nice place) would be very greatly appreciated. We have no set plans as of yet, so we are open to your ideas and suggestions. Thanks for helping us out. We are very excited about the trip (coming from NJ)

Whale watching

I’ve never taken a Whale Watch out of Hyannis – I’ve always taken them out of Provincetown. My understanding is when you’re all the way out at there you’re closer to the whales then you are in Hyannis – so you’re boat trip to get to areas their sighted is quicker and you have a longer opportunity to observe the whales.

The whale watch everyone is going to recommend is the Dolphin Fleet out of Provincetown – they have a team of very knowledgeable scientists on board unlike most other companies. P-Town is a fun community and there are lots of fun restaurants and shops that are still going to be open that time of year. Also, the Outer Cape is just lovely. There is a historic Light House in Truro and I think your best opportunity to walk on a dramatic, lonely, Atlantic beach in Wellfleet (Cahoon Hallow or White Crest – both great for kite flying too).

Whale watching

Hello Snowvill

Eastcoastgirl is correct regarding whale watching, it makes perfect sense. P-town is THE place for cruises and that website is right on the money that she gave you!

You know Snowvill, as far as where to stay nice?

I%26#39;d probably check out that Crowne Point Inn %26amp; Spa, if I were in that vicinity any way for whale watching! It keeps popping up on this TA website for where to stay in Provincetown! I%26#39;ll tell you, I think it looks REALLY nice! I looked at pictures of it online, it%26#39;s SO pretty! What the heck, go for it! May be you can get a good rate a night this time of year? It says $329 a night on Expedia, but I bet you can do better than that.

Maybe if you go through www.priceline.com you%26#39;ll get a better rate! THEN you could always take a ride up to Brewster to Chillingsworth for dinner another night! Am I a brat or what with my taste!!!

Good luck and have fun!

Check out the Crowne Points site...I just did...oh my God, it%26#39;s beautiful....!!!! Forget the drive to Chillingsworth in Brewster, check THERE dining room out....WOW!!!!!
