Have booked this hotel for 4 nights in December? Is it a good bet?
Sheraton hotel Boston - Back Bay
It%26#39;s very centrally located and convenient to shopping on Newbury St., and public transportation (MBTA Subway) stops are all around the area.
You%26#39;ll be near Symphony Hall (about 2 blocks)
The Museum of Fine Arts (3-4 blocks/3 subway stops)
Boston Public Garden (8 blocks/3 subway stops)
Though the Freedom Trail begins 4-5 subway stops away, it%26#39;s still a pleasant walk... 1/2 mile or so.
The restaurants of the South End and Back Bay are within walking distance... Chinatown just a bit further.
The hotel dates back to the 60%26#39;s, and was doubled in size and upgraded 20 something years later and is connected to the shopping malls at the Prudential Center and Copley Place.
In a nutshell... good choice.
Sheraton hotel Boston - Back Bay
I just came back from a stay there. It was conveniently located, with access to the Prudential Center and several different T stops nearby, easy walk to BackBay and so on. The rooms seemed a little dated and tired, but not terrible.
Hello FOBS,
Good choice! As the previous posters state! YES it%26#39;s a good bet FOBS! It%26#39;s in a really good location. You can walk through the hotel to get to all the over 200 Pru Shops and Copley Place Mall, and it%26#39;s only one block away from Newbury Street. The Top Of The Hub on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Bldg. is something you should try to do right at dusk and at least once during the day, it%26#39;s incredible. You%26#39;ll see the lights at night and the whole city from up there, it%26#39;s really pretty to see it all this way.
As a suggestion, you could book a short City tour on a trolley right from the lobby of the Sheraton when you get in. That way you can get your bearings with this place.

Have a great time!
