Whale watch & Front Street Restaurant - a good plan?

I will spend 1 night in Provincetown at the end of Sept, arriving around 2pm. It will be 9 years since the day I met my husband so we%26#39;d like to eat somewhere nice. We plan to catch the last whale watch trip of the day then eat at Front Street restaurant. Does this sound like a good way to spend the day?

Sounds very good, but I%26#39;m not sure if Front Street is open then... it used to close seasonally... best to check (not that reservations will be necessary that time of year)

My personal all-time favorite restaurant would be Martin House (open year-round), followed by Dancing Lobster (not sure when it closes)

The best meals I%26#39;ve ever had in P-Town were at the Martin House, and the atmosphere can%26#39;t be beat!

Front Street open to Dec. 508-487-9715. Martin House and The Red Inn are also going to be open when you are there and are wonderful but price tag will be double. Have fun!

Cape Cod Charlie is right on re: the Red Inn. This is a fantastic, romantic place. Food is great!! I just came back yesterday and had drinks on their deck three nights and dinner once.

Thanks for all your comments. We are actually staying at the Anchor beach house, I think they own the Red Inn? What are the prices like at the Red Inn?

If you mean for dinner then dinner entrees range from $20 to $40. Check out their website to see the ambience at theredinn.com. You can spend half as much if you stick with your good choice of Front Street for dinner but perhaps have a drink first at Red Inn before sunset for a romantic start to your evening. Then perhaps take the other poster%26#39;s suggestion about Martin House and finish up with dessert there or an after dinner drink to cap off your anniversary day.
