Need Help Planning Trip to Nantucket

My husband and I plan to visit Nantucket at the end of October. We love seafood! Can anyone recommend a great place to eat with good atmosphere but not too frou frou? Where would the locals go for great seafood? Lunch, dinner etc.

We will be there Halloween weekend, any suggestions on fun things to do? Also we have a flight leaving Boston at 4 PM on a Monday, what time should we leave Nantucket to get to Logan if we need to take the ferry? Thank you so much for your help!

Brotherhood of Theives is a really fun place to eat. Definately take the ';tour of the island'; bus. They have alot of interesting history information about this island. Shopping is Fabulous!!!

some ideas: Brant Point Grill (@White Elephant Hotel) for BLD. Try alfresco lunch on their harborside terrace. Heaters keep it warm. Smoked salmon to lobster, raw bar etc.

Cap%26#39;n Tobeys Chowder House on Straight Wharf - chowdah, Nantucket bay scallops, tuna, haddock, halibut, lobster parfait- yes, that%26#39;s right.

Not fish but great local atmosphere - Cambridge St. which has one eating side and one fun bar joint side. Thurs. get the 99cent ribs in off-season.

Bluefin bistro for sushi, lobster ravioli and tapas.

The high speed ferry (Flying Cloud) is 1 hour to Hyannis and makes the trip 5-6 times daily in Oct. (steamshipauthority.com). The drive Hyannis to Logan is 1 1/2 to 2 hours with NO traffic whenever that is. Allow plenty of time. Maybe you can time your inbound travel to get an idea.

Architectural Walking Tours or Nantucket Historical Assoc walking tours. Nan. Whaling Museum or an island driving tour with Nantucket Island Tours. You can rent mopeds. Brandt Point Lighthouse at sunset. Ride out to Eel Point. Leave bike at sign-40th pole beach and walk 1/2 mile to beach for real unspoiled nature. Ride out to Sconset/Siasconset on moped or tour. See Snakaty Head Light. www.nantucketchamber.org - they have a glossy guide book to send you for a charge.

Lots of things to see and do according to your interests. If you want the name of a great guide book with reviews of everything just let me know-$20 at Borders etc.
